So I found this during one of my random meanderings through the inter-webs
It's a very nice poem by Adam D Walsvik entitled "Ode To Winter"
Since I love winter and since it's winter now, I feel it's only appropriate that I share this with you all:
Ode To Winter
by Adam D Walsvik

Years of moments condense into one
Propel me into the dawn
My hopes rise ripe with the song-singing sun
My fears are politely gone
A breeze blows bare bows of beauty bold
Leaves in an eddy wave back remembering
October is lovingly November’s to hold
As November thinks of Decembering
Snow descends softly and gathers , gains ground
Just a skirmish nipping at the heels of a war
Soon legions of snowflakes shall our best efforts drown
Yet wielding our shovels we’ll settle each score
The chill winds shall blow from deepest north
Tiny daggers shall stab at our faces
Wrapped up in layers we’ll bravely go forth
From oasis to warm oasis
Yet Winter has an aesthetic sense all her own
There is beauty in her wrath
She sends her children Snow and Cold
To make cryptic art of our summer path
